Property files and reports

Auckland Council holds a range of information about all properties in the region. This includes rating information, building and drainage plans, consent information, licensing details and more. Information is held in a variety of formats and is available to view or purchase.

The type of information that is available and the way it is packaged for viewing varies across the region. Use the links below to find out what is available in your area.

Auckland City

Building consents report: a summary of all the building consents for a selected property
Property file: all information held about a selected property
Site features maps and aerial photos: maps showing contours, public drainage and other special land features
Neighbourhood report: an overview of building activity planned or in progress within a 100m radius of a selected site, as well as any licensed activity such as liquor, brothel or street trading licences
Building consents online: track the progress of a building consent or Code compliance certificate application or view all building consents on a specific property.

Franklin District

Property detail and map search: aerial images, district plan information, boundaries, services and more.

Manukau City

Property information files can be viewed at our Manukau service centre.

North Shore City

Property information files: all information held about a selected property.

Papakura District

Property information files are availalbe to view at the Papakura service centre.

Rodney District

Property information search: all permits and consents held about a selected property
Site information report: provides information about a specific site that should be reviewed before the substantial design of a project is completed. The difference between a Project information memorandum (PIM) and a SIR is that the SIR does not provide planning advice relating to non-compliances with the district plan.

Waitakere City

Property file: all information held about a selected property.

Building consents list subscription

Members of the public can subscribe to receive a list of the building consents issued by Auckland Council.

Lists can be ordered for a particular part of the region covered by one of the previous councils or for multiple areas across the region.

The List is provided in an electronic format and a subscriber can choose to receive them on a weekly or monthly basis. A one off request to receive the building list can also be made if you do not wish to subscribe for a full year.

How to order

Complete the application form - AC2126 building consent list subscription (77kb) and submit it to Council with your payment via one of our customer service centres or by post to:
