Auckland Heritage Festival 2012 features events across the region, and is an opportunity for Aucklanders to celebrate and remember our past, and discover our unique heritage.
With over 200+ events including heritage walks, talks and tours, special events and exhibitions, the sheer scale of this festival highlights what an incredible job Aucklanders do as 'stewards' of local heritage.
Auckland communities have colourful and vibrant stories. Pick a few events and learn about your local heritage, or pick an area you know little of and learn about their stories.
Also, keep an eye out also for events that celebrate the legacy of Sir John Logan Campbell, the ‘father of Auckland’ who passed away 100 years ago.
Auckland Council is proud to bring the Auckland Heritage Festival to our communitities. Honouring and preserving our historic heritage is a key component as we work towards making Auckland the world’s most liveable city.
