Viewpoint is a group exhibition of new works by eight painters who have been studying and exhibiting together for the past three years.
The word "viewpoint" can be defined as "a mental position from which something is observed or considered".
It is a complex concept influenced by many factors including the social, psychological, cultural, society and family. We all have different perspectives and interpretations depending on our life experiences.
The paintings in this exhibition reflect the diverse viewpoints in our community and aim to open discussion around diversity of thought. The exhibition will bring together varied viewpoints not only of the artists but also of the viewers.
The official opening will be in the Main Gallery on Saturday 24 March from 3pm until 4.30pm.
