Come along to free hands-on native plant propagation workshops to learn how to grow and care for native NZ plants.
Each week will focus on a different topic and sessions can be taken as individual "bite-size" workshops or as a full eight-week series as part of a work-experience or volunteer programme.
The workshops are highly practical and will often involve study trips to nearby reserves.
Topics will include eco-sourcing seeds, growing new plants from cuttings, revegetation, pioneering and scrubland plants, broadleaf/podocarp forest plants, coastal plants, wetland and riparian plants, plants for birds and threatened plants.
For the full list of topics and dates, see the Kaipatiki website: www.kaipatiki.org.nz
