It's a great chance to see all of the villages of the festival - Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Cook Islands, Tokelau, Niue, Tahiti, Kiribati, Tuvalu and Aotearoa - perform at one time, as well as special guests.
Pasifika Festival Day
10 March, 10am-5pm
Western Springs Park
Pasifika Festival Day sees Western Springs Park transformed into10 villages offering music, food, arts and dance from 10 cultures.
Pasifika Festival Day is the day when Pacific communities come together to celebrate their unity and, at the same time, their diversity.
You will hear the resonating sounds of the beating of tapa and the flickering of the pandanus strips woven into a mat, and enjoy mouth-watering smells of Pacific foods and the fresh tropical taste of watermelon and pineapple with ice cream.
