Facebook

Purpose of our Facebook page

We use Facebook for two main reasons:

  1. to provide you with Auckland Council’s latest news and events information
  2. to get your opinion on various topics relating to council activities.

If you have a query about a council service, we’ll do our best to investigate and find an answer for you.  We might ask you to contact us via phone or email to help us get the details we need to action your request.

We may not be able to get back to you straight away so if you require an immediate response, please phone us on (09) 301 0101.

We won’t usually comment on political issues or get involved in debates.

If you have feedback for the mayor or an elected representative you can contact them via our Mayor and elected representatives page. 

Moderation

We openly welcome your comments and encourage discussion. We ask that you are polite and respectful with your comments and views.

We reserve the right to remove comments which are disrespectful, rude, abusive, or considered spam.

If you follow us, you can expect tweets covering some of the following:

Availability

We will update and monitor our Twitter account during office hours, Monday to Friday.

We welcome feedback and will endeavour to join in the conversation where possible.  However we are not always able to reply individually to all messages.
