Nominate your favorite community volunteer group

Nominations are now open for the Infratil Community Awards 2011 to recognise the achievements of civically-motivated organisations that make a contribution to our community.

The awards are a celebration of work undertaken in the past 12 months by voluntary groups and volunteer based not-for profit organisations which dedicate a tremendous amount of time and energy into making Waitakere a better place.

There are five categories:

  • Heritage and environment
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Arts and culture
  • Sport and leisure
  • Education and child/youth development.

Category winners receive $500 and runners-up receive $250. The Supreme Winner will receive $1500 and an all expenses paid trip to the TrustPower National Awards to be held from 23-25 March 2012 in the Ashburton district.

Any voluntary group or volunteer-based not-for-profit organisation is eligible for the awards. Voluntary groups and organisations can even nominate themselves!
