Waiheke Island Community Group Assistance Fund 2011 (WCGAF)
The community group assistance fund aims to ensure a wide range of community activities, projects, programmes and events are supported at a citywide level.
Who can apply
Only Community and voluntary organisations that work on Waiheke Island are eligible for this fund.
Groups must have legal status (i.e. be an incorporated society or registered charitable trust) or apply under the umbrella of an organisation that does.
How much you can apply for
The size of grants will be determined by the Waiheke Island Local Board, from an overall pool of $15,000.
Priorities for funding
Priority will be given to innovative projects that:
- have measurable outcomes
- address an identified community need
- align with council's strategic priorities, and
- are collaborative in nature.
When funding is available
There will be two funding rounds for 2011/12. The closing dates are 29 July 2011 and 20 January 2012.
