We held our Community Volunteer Awards which celebrated the individuals and groups that help make our local board area such a great place to live.
The successful nominees were recognised at the Ōrākei Local Board Community Volunteer Awards ceremony.
This ceremony was held at St Chads Church and Community Centre on Wednesday 5 June 2019.
The categories were:
For local groups or individual contribution through voluntary work – influencing the enhancement and sustainability of the natural environment in the area.
For local groups or individual contribution through their work, or through the opportunities they provide to volunteers in their organisation.
For local groups or individual contribution through voluntary work – influencing the arts, culture and heritage sector in the local community.
To celebrate individuals or voluntary organisations in the Ōrākei Local Board area who work to improve and enhance local centres and other business areas.
For local groups or individual contribution through voluntary work in sports, fitness and leisure programmes in the local community.
