About these metrics

The vision of our 30-year Auckland Plan is to become the world's most liveable city. The annual Mercer Quality of Living Survey has ranked us as the world's third most liveable city since 2012, based on factors such as economic environment, public services, transport, and recreation.

Auckland's council-controlled organisations, such as ATEED and Panuku Development, aim to improve Auckland's liveability and economy.

Panuku Development Auckland has a vision to rejuvenate key areas of urban Auckland to create spaces that residents love.

ATEED (Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development) aims to support the growth of an economically competitive city by attracting smart new investment and high-value jobs. It also creates world-class events to grow the economy.
