About this goal

​We aim for a 75 per cent satisfaction rate for service reliability.

Importance of this goal

​Consistently measuring the quality of our performance shows us areas of service delivery that need to be improved. From this, we know that a reliable service is of great importance to Aucklanders.

How are we achieving this goal

The Waste Solutions team monitors our kerbside rubbish and recycling services to make sure the service we offer is consistent.

We have also begun several large-scale service rollouts to streamline our waste management services across Auckland, and reduce waste to landfill.

These include:

  • switching from plastic rubbish bags to wheelie bins in Manukau, North Shore and Waitākere
  • a kerbside collection of food scraps in Papakura, diverting thousands of tonnes of food from landfill each week
  • introducing a smaller, 80L wheelie bin to give customers a choice of bin size.

We work closely with our contractors every day to resolve issues quickly, and our dedicated customer service team regularly monitor customer requests to ensure we are responding to their needs.
