Whatipu heritage walk

What you will see in Whatipu

Take a walk from the car park to the beach and Paratutai Island (40 minutes return) to gaze at the natural landscape that surrounds you. If fishing or swimming take great care, as the sea currents are powerful and sea conditions can change very quickly.

Take one of the many signposted inland bush walks in the area. They range from easy strolls to overnight tramps. Find out about Whatipu, Waitākere Regional Park and the accommodation options available.

See the starting point for this walk on Google Maps.
