A large flat site with one gas barbecue, a water tap, and trees for shelter. There is easy access to the playground, large recreation paddock and toilets.
Phone 09 261 8001 to arrange permission for vehicle access - there is an extra charge for vehicles.
Rules for this bookable picnic site
- You must occupy your booked site by 9am.
- You must leave the site by 9pm during daylight saving or 7pm outside of daylight saving.
- Camping is not allowed on bookable sites at any time.
- Sites must be booked by people aged 18 and over.
- You cannot light open fires.
- You must not stop the public from walking through the site or using park facilities.
- You must take rubbish and recycling home.
- Shade tents and marquees must be smaller than 50 square metres.
- Animals are not allowed on site, unless they are disability assist dogs.
Bouncy castles and other inflatable devices in our regional parks
Bouncy castles at this site must be smaller than 30 square metres.
Your use of these devices must comply with:
- Worksafe NZ regulations
- the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
