A lot of exciting things are happening in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland and the next few years will bring some unique challenges.

The City Rail Link

The City Rail Link will be completed during the 2025-2028 term. This will transform how Aucklanders can get around. It will:

Rising to the challenge

These important investments, plus major business and residential developments, will transform the urban landscape. They will make Auckland a more dynamic, accessible and attractive place to live, work and invest.

The challenges will be:

  • how well Auckland takes advantage of those opportunities for its people and businesses
  • how it listens to and understands what people most care about
  • how it delivers efficient and cost-effective solutions that meet the city’s financial challenges.
