The City Centre Advisory Panel provides advice based on:

• sector expertise
• industry expertise
• lived experience.

It helps the council decide on goals and plans to make the city centre a lively, successful place for everyone.

The panel works to make sure the City Centre Targeted Ratepayers get the best value for their money.

Members of the panel are representatives of city centre businesses and resident groups.

The panel members are:

• Patrick Reynolds, Deputy Chairperson, transport sector
• Adam Parkinson, City Centre Residents Group
• Alec Tang, sustainability and climate change
• Amy Malcolm, Auckland University of Technology
• Antony Phillips, City Centre Residents Group
• Bernie Haldane, arts, culture and events (Auckland Arts Festival)
• Councillor Mike Lee, Waitematā and Gulf Ward Councillor
• Debbie Summers, tourism and travel sector (ID Tours)
• Dr Natalie Allen, urban design sector representative
• Genevieve Sage, Waitematā Local Board Chairperson
• George Crawford, property sector (Property Council of NZ)
• Grant Kemble, Ngāti Whātua Ōrakei representative

The City Centre Advisory Panel holds formal business meetings every two months. 

Formal business meetings are open to the public and any elected members of Auckland Council.

We are working to make the city centre a better place to work, live, visit and do business.

The City Centre Targeted Rate (CCTR) is paid by commercial and residential property owners in the city centre to help us:

• pay for improvements in the area
• implement the City Centre Masterplan.

The City Centre Advisory Panel makes recommendations for how the CCTR is spent.

The current CCTR applies until the 2030/2031 financial year.
