Award categories
Long-service award
Individuals who have made outstanding contributions for 20 years or more.
Arts
A person or organisation that shows commitment, long service and makes a difference to the Papakura arts scene.
Community service (local heroes)
Individuals making a difference to the Papakura community, who always give a helping hand when needed.
Young person making a difference
Under 24-year-olds demonstrating community service or who have supported their community or peers.
Culture
A person or organisation demonstrating leadership and commitment to preserving, showcasing and celebrating our culture and heritage.
Environment
Individuals or groups who protect and enhance Papakura's natural environment.
Sports
Individuals who work hard behind the scenes to help athletes, club members and the sports organisation succeed.
One-off volunteers
Individuals or groups who have made contributions towards:
- community planting days
- park and reserve clean-ups
- disaster response efforts during emergency and recovery periods.
