You are welcome to attend most Auckland Council governing body and committee meetings. If there is any public-excluded business items on the agenda, we will ask you to leave the meeting at that stage.
Up to 30 minutes near the start of each meeting are set aside to hear from the public.
If you want to speak at a public meeting, you need to contact the Governance Advisor at least one full working day before the meeting.
Contact details for the Governance Advisor will be in the meeting agenda.
Remember to include the subject matter in your request to speak.
When speaking at a meeting, you may speak for up to five minutes.
This time may be extended by resolution of the meeting.
