What you will see on the Avondale town centre and Rosebank Peninsula walks
The walks provides an overview of:
- Māori settlement in the area
- later settlement by European
- early industries and the development and consolidation of the community.
The walk features some of the earliest surviving places in Avondale, including St Ninian's Church built in 1859-60.
