If your dog is a working dog, you can get a discount on your annual registration fee. Visit Dog registration fee discounts to find how much you will pay.
You need to sign a declaration that your dog is used for this purpose.
We will ask to see documentation when you register with us if your dog is an official security or pest control animal.
If your dog is used for herding or driving stock, we may ask to see your dog performing this function.

Exemption from microchipping
Most working dogs that herd or drive stock do not have to be microchipped.
Working dogs that are a menacing or dangerous breed and used for security or pest control need to be desexed and microchipped.
