Report neglectful dog owners
You can make a complaint about a dog owner not providing their dog with:
- proper care and attention
- enough food, water and shelter
- adequate exercise.
It is considered cruelty to animals.
Call us on 09 301 0101 to report neglect or if you have concerns about a dog’s welfare.
Report physical abuse or cruelty to dogs
If you think a dog is being abused or treated cruelly, contact the Auckland SPCA on 09 256 7300.
This includes:
- physical cruelty or any form of abuse to a dog
- organised dog fighting
- not providing veterinary care to a dog.
