Experiences
Students learn about the economics of farming and discover how the 'inputs' of climate, soil and markets influence the way farms are managed.
At the wool shed, students learn about:
- shearing and crutching Removing wool around the tail and between the legs of a sheep to keep them clean.
- the wonders of wool.
They will then get to:
- exit down the sheep chute
- watch a milking demonstration
- churn some milk into butter
- take a tour of the farm while avoiding cow-pats (cow dung)
- meet Ambury's animals like Timmy the turkey and chickens.
