Muriwai is a park of national significance for geography and geology students. The park contains a variety of natural features including volcanic remnants, pillow and column lavas, beach and frontal dune systems, vegetation and headland features like shore platforms, caves, blowhole and rock stacks.
A visit to Muriwai enables students to study:
Students could undertake fieldwork as part of a Research Assignment or Assessment.
Ranger staff are available to guide groups around the area.
