Contact us to report a sick or dead bird around our waterways.
Do not give bread to ducks in the water as this can lead to avian botulism.
We investigate reports of pollution, take steps to clean it up or undertake remedial works to preserve and restore our natural environment.
For incidents of significant pollution, we may send warning letters and abatement notices to the people causing the pollution.
We may fine businesses up to $1000.
We may also prosecute individuals. This may result in imprisonment for a maximum of two years or a fine of up to $300,000.
Companies may face fines up to $600,000.
