Under section 138 of the Local Government Act 2002 Auckland Council notifies its intention to grant a new commercial Lease at 85-87 Gladstone Road, Parnell for the purpose of operating a licensed restaurant, café and event venue.
The land is legally described as Part Allotment 1 Section 2 Suburbs of Auckland, contained in Record of Title NA414/163 and comprises 2145 square meters more or less. Currently held in fee simple by Auckland Council as a public park, subject to the Local Government Act 2002.
The building area is approximately 555 square meters and is situated within the Dove Myer Robinson Park (Parnell Rose Gardens).
If granted, the proposed new commercial Lease is for a term of 30 years.
The commencement date of the new commercial Lease will be 1 January 2027. The final expiry date will be 31 December 2056.
Any person wishing to comment or make a submission in respect of the above proposal is to lodge this in writing by close of business on Monday 15 June 2026.
