Complaints about food poisoning
If you are feeling unwell and suspect food poisoning has been caused by eating or drinking contaminated food or drink from a food outlet, then:
- seek medical attention from a doctor
- contact the National Public Health Service – Northern Region.
The National Public Health Service staff will notify Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) if there is evidence the illness was caused by food.
Complaints about food safety and hygiene
Contact us if you have concerns or complaints about food business site relating to:
- cleanliness
- food display or storage
- food hygiene practices
- foreign object found in food
- food safety issues
- food labelling
- grading certificate not on display
- unregistered food business.
