You will need:

• a map of proposed location(s)
• a health and safety plan.

You may need a food registration if you are giving away food as promotional material. This could be to advertise the product or to promote a business. Visit Apply for food registration to find out more.

You may not need a food registration if you are giving away:

• food as part of a promotional event held once a year
• unopened, shelf-stable and packaged food.

There are two fee components for a licence:

This licence does not permit the sale of any goods or materials. Trading in a public space requires a mobile trading licence.

You need a new application for each different location and proposed activity.

​If you plan to distribute promotional goods in a park or reserve, we will need to consult with our Parks team for approval. This will extend the processing time.

We will process and respond to your application within 10 working days.
