Dangerous acts may include:

• any flammable materials or hazardous substances
• dangerous objects such as knives, spikes, nails, etc.
• items that operate under their own power, chainsaws, drills, power tools, etc.
• items that would normally be identified as a weapon
• children
• animals
• any performance involving heights.

Performers of dangerous acts need a special street performance licence.

You will need to complete the special street performance safety plan before you apply.

How to apply for a special street performance licence

​We will review your plan and let you know our decision within ten working days.

Application fee

There is no fee for this licence.​

If we approve your application we will send you a licence. You must carry the licence at all times when performing.

​If we decline your application we will offer free advice on possible changes. You may then submit a revised application.
