This is a pretty reserve tucked away amongst residential properties.
Wide paths throughout the reserve connect the neighbourhood, and provide a safe route for the local children to walk to May Road Primary School.
The large number of plants and trees along the edge of the pond and around the reserve have created a great habitat for wildlife (particularly pūkeko and ducks) and improved the stormwater quality downstream. You can get good views of the pond and wildlife from the lookout platform.
Access the reserve from between numbers 39 and 43, and 57 and 59 Freeland Avenue. You can also access from opposite number 21 Balfron Avenue and via a walkway between numbers 24 and 26 Kallu Crescent.
Picnic tables and seating are inside the reserve. You will need to park on the road.
You can also cross Freeland Avenue at the bottom of the reserve to access the playground at Turner Reserve.
