About Michaels Avenue Reserve
Michaels Avenue Reserve - Section of path through the trees.
A huge open sports park catering for cricket and soccer.
The park has it's own wetland area to the north of the park with an interesting array of flora, fauna, and wild life. A good network of paths connect the entrances with the facilities.
Access the car parks from Michaels Avenue and Elwood Place. Pedestrians can also access the park from Ellerslie Park Road and Arron Street.
A playground, car parks, fitness equipment, picnic tables, seating, and a bike stand are inside the park.
The park is home to the Ellerslie Recreation Centre and a number of smaller leased facilities.
Follow the 1.6km Michaels Avenue Reserve Path around the park.

Animals
Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.
Alcohol
Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.
Smokefree parks
Our parks are all smokefree.
Waste
Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Outdoor fires
It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
