About Cape Hill Reserve

Large park for families with lots of open space to run around in, and is combined with Ernies Reserve (Brownlee Lake)

Great network of paths throughout, though you need to keep an eye on children around the lake.

At the northern end of the reserve there are stairs and a boardwalk that links in with more paths.

Access from Cape Hill and Reynolds roads.

Picnic tables at the southern end of the park close to Reynolds Road, and seating dotted around the paths. The closest toilets and parking are at Colin Lawrie Fields.

You can also enjoy fitness stations at Reynolds Road Reserve.

You need to know

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
