About Murray Halberg Park

Murry Halberg Park – Two accessible car parks near the Marist Rugby League Club building.

Murray Halberg Reserve is a hidden piece of open space and home to the Marist Rugby League Club.

A network of concrete paths offer good access to the park although some are steep and there are steps in places. There is also a loop track around the sports field.

There is a playground amongst the trees at the Range View Road entrance and basketball half-court nearby.

There is a car park off Range View Road which gets busy during rugby league games and practice sessions in the winter.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. Visit Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

This playground features a large play tower with covered slide, imaginative play areas, rope climbing walls, and open slide.

There is also a circular spider-web climbing frame and a stand-alone swing set with basket swing.

Car park

Access the car park from Range View Road - this gets busy during rugby league match and practice days in the winter. Gates open 6am to 11pm daily.

Toilets

Located at the end of the car park.

Pedestrian access

24 hours. Main entrance is from Range View Road. There are connecting footpaths to Olympus Street, Hargest Terrace, Cassino Terrace and to Richardson Road beside Owairaka District School. An informal grass accessway connects to Dunkirk Terrace.

Mobility parking

There are two accessible car parks near the Marist Rugby League Club building. Gates open 6am to 11pm daily.
