About Collins Park

Collins Park - Path through the park.

Large green open space nestled in a residential area. Take a ball to kick-around or enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic tables or under a tree.

Access the car park from Greenhithe Road.

A playground, accessible toilets, car park, sports fields, skatepark, picnic tables and seating, and drinking fountains are inside the park.

Follow the take the 2.5km Greenhithe East Path which passes through Wainoni Park North, Wainoni Park South, Collins Park and Greenhithe War Memorial Park. Or try the 3.5km loop Greenhithe West Path where you can enjoy coastal views along a section of the path.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

Playgrounds at Collins Park

Collins Park - High play module with a climbing wall, net climbing ladder, platform, slide and monkey bars connecting to the low module.

This playground is set away from the road and behind a white picket fence.

It has an adventurous twin cabin module with tube slide, and dual open slides, climbing wall and ropes. The swing set and in-ground trampoline offer accessible play options.

An accessible wheelchair ramp helps users access the play area.

The wide concrete footpath access has a dedicated scooter and bike rack to cater for children going between the playground and skate park.
