La Rosa Garden Reserve is a peaceful park a short walk from the centre of Green Bay. It was named after the La Rosa farming family, who were prominent Green Bay citizens in the early 1900s.
The park has lots of open space, established trees, and a good network of paths with seating and artworks along the edge.
A playground, toilet, and seating are next to the rose garden and provide plenty of space for children to kick a ball around or ride their bikes.
We have opened up the stream and restored biodiversity at the park. This has created opportunities for the community to interact with the stream.
A community fruit orchard, which is looked after by members of the Green Bay community, is on the sloped northern end of the park.
Access the car park from La Rosa Street. Pedestrians can also access from between numbers 48 and 54 Lantana Avenue. The nearest bus stops are outside numbers 92 and 93 Godley Road.
A flat, accessible path connects the car park off La Rosa Street with the playground and toilets. There aren't any allocated accessible parking spaces in the car park.
Steep ramped walkways prevent easy access to the lower areas of the park for those with access needs.
