Ian Shaw Reserve is mostly open space and sits beside the Tamaki River. It has a children’s adventure-type playground and a concrete skateboard bowl.
Part of the reserve closest to the river his home to the Auckland Rowing Club building. A large concrete boat ramp for available for public use is next to the clubs parking area.
Access the car park from Panama Road. Pedestrians can also access via a walkway between numbers 10 and 15 Rakino Way.
Picnic tables are along the waters edge inside the park.
