Starts at 95 Otara Road, Otara
A nice walk around the outside of Ngāti Ōtara Park, a popular venue for local sports games.
This walk is suitable for people of all ages and abilities to get active. You'll find a few park benches along the way to watch the action and admire the view of the estuary. There are also public toilets at the start of the path.
The path is paved and perfect for buggies with bigger wheels that can navigate some areas of rough surface along the path.
Kids will enjoy the playground at the start of the path. You'll also find some fitness equipment (pull-up and dip bar, and a couple of sit-up benches) to complete an outdoor workout circuit.
The park is popular with local sports club games, so check out a match if you happen to be passing on game day.
If you want to keep walking, explore more of the estuary along the shared path which connects to the Ngāti Ōtara Path.
