Starts at 41 Neil Avenue, Te Atatu Peninsula
This short walk or cycle around Te Atatū Peninsula Park is a great way to keep active!
The flat, paved path is suitable for people of all ages and abilities, including pram and wheelchair users.
Start at the Neil Avenue entrance to the park (dedicated car parking and public toilets are located here). The path is also accessible from Taikata Road and Matipo Road, where there is another car park.
Walk, jog or cycle around the park's sport fields. Take advantage of the outdoor exercise stations to complete a workout in the fresh air.
The children's playground will keep little ones amused with the rope climbing ladders, spinner and small slide.
You might even catch a sports game in action if you happen to be passing on game day.
During winter, the park has floodlighting and is often used for sports training. This makes the route a great option for an evening walk or ride in the cooler months.
