Starts at 95 Onetaunga Road, Chatswood
Bushwalk in Chatswood that leads down to idyllic Kendall Bay.
Start on Onetaunga Road, opposite Chelsea View Drive. Follow the signposted Brian Norton track through Kauri Point Centennial Park to Kendall Bay.
The walk down to Kendall Bay is reasonably steep in places. There's seating at strategic viewpoints, with stunning views over the Waitematā Harbour.
Kendall Bay is a lovely secluded sandy beach - ideal for swimming with small children. The off-leash exercise area at the beach offers plenty of space for dogs.
At this point you can choose to head back to the starting point (for an easier alternative), or complete the full loop walk through Kauri Point Centennial Park.
For the loop path, stroll along Kendall Bay then follow the boardwalk. There's a number of stairs to climb through the native bush but the views are worth the effort.
