Starts at 16A Sarawia Street, Newmarket
An upright stone sculpture marks the start of this path at the junction of Sarawia and Laxon Terrace.
Being so close to the Newmarket train station means getting here by train is an easy choice.
There is a chance to stop with the kids to play on the big "spiders' web" playground in Newmarket Park.
There is then a short but steep descent down Ayr Street and along Shore Road.
Cross at the pedestrian crossing into Thomas Bloodworth Park opposite some local shops and cafe.
The gravel path leads around the cricket fields and the mangrove lined edge of Hobson Bay.
The path follows the mangroves over a bridge and kayak launching steps, around the edge of Shore Road Reserve. It then leads to a shelter with seating and a great view of Hobson Bay and the Parnell cliffs.
The path continues along the edge of Shore Road Reserve. You'll then reach the junction of Shore Road and Portland Road.
