From Monday 15 December 2025, the entire Fisher Parade section of the Pakuranga Rotary Walkway will close at the main entrance points on:
You can rejoin the walkway from The Boulevard, via Pakuranga Road and Glenmore Road.
The Fisher Parade section will reopen by Wednesday 24 December 2025.
During the closure, we will install temporary structural support to make the walkway safe to reopen. These supports will keep the walkway wall stable and allow safe access for the public until we develop a permanent fix.
The permanent fix will take about six months.
This walkway runs around the edge of the water of the Tāmaki Estuary and Whakaaranga Creek.
You can walk, jog or cycle on this path.
Along the way, you can see extensive views up and down the Tāmaki River, layers of ash, peat and ignimbrite, wetland areas, and features of historic and cultural significance.
Bicycles are permitted but need to share the walkway with pedestrians. If you are riding a bike, please give way to walkers and watch out for blind corners.

You can access the walkway from Pigeon Mountain all the way to Pakuranga Road.
Entry points include Pigeon Mountain, Prince Regent Drive, Estelle Place, Rapallo Place, Bramley Drive, Fisher Parade and Rotary Reserve at Pakuranga Road.
