This public, shared walkway/bridle trail runs across open farmland on gently rolling hills. There are also some short bush trails.
Good parking is available at the Redoubt Road carpark. There is no area for parking horse trucks or floats.
The park is open from 7am to 9pm during summer and 7am to 7pm in winter.
The public park is next to the Totara Park Equestrian Centre (TPEC). Only TPEC members are allowed to park or ride on its land.
