Track Works – 11 to 22 May 2026.
Track repairs are underway in the Oruawharo River Trail in the Mullet Point area. Keep a lookout for trucks and diggers on all park roads. Follow all directions from signage, contractors and rangers.
Horse riding closed for winter
Due to wet ground conditions, horse riding is closed for winter.
The expected reopening date is Monday 14 September 2026, depending on ground conditions being suitable by that time.
Main park gates are open from 6am to 9pm during daylight savings hours and 6am to 7pm during non-daylight saving hours.
From the main car park, take the metal road past the toilet block, following the directional signs for the next 3.1km to the campground.
You will need a combination code to open the locked access gate - we will send you the combination code with your booking confirmation.

Bookings can only be made six months in advance for campgrounds. Availability refreshes at midnight daily.
From 17 December to 31 January: group bookings are limited to a maximum of 10 people.
From 1 February to 16 December: group bookings are limited to a maximum of 30 people.

Drinking water is from a treated dam supply and is safe to drink. Taps are located around the campground.
No power supply.
There is one toilet block with three unisex toilets, including one with wheelchair access.
You may bring your own solar shower, shower tent and shower stand. Do not hang showers from trees.
Dogs, other animals and pets are prohibited at all times.

Your campsite must be clean and tidy during your stay, and when you leave.
Recycling is available at the campground. Take your rubbish with you when you leave.
You can stay in a tent or any purpose-built camping vehicle, including a camper trailer, motorhome, campervan, caravan, fifth-wheeler or bus.
