This site must be booked. It is only for parking a vehicle overnight while on off-park activities like visiting an off-shore island or completing the Te Ara Moana kayak trail.
You cannot park your vehicle inside the park overnight to fish off the wharf.
Changes to tracks around the park
We have made significant changes to some of the tracks. Check the park noticeboard for updated map and track information.
Main park gates are open from 6am to 9pm during daylight savings hours and 6am to 7pm during non-daylight saving hours.
You can park in the main Mataitai Bay car park (next to the toilet block).

Dogs are permitted off-leash on Mataitai Bay or on-leash on walking tracks. Dogs are prohibited from campgrounds, mountain bike tracks and paddocks during lambing season (see noticeboards for details on these areas).
No bins or rubbish disposal facilities. Take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
