This site offers 10 hardstands over the winter (non-daylight saving) months only, for stays up to seven nights for NZS5465 certified self-contained (CSC) vehicles only. Maximum of one vehicle per booking.
Vehicles can no longer park overnight in the main car park. They must use the CSC parking area as the hardstands in the parking area have replaced the CSC overnight carparking area.
You need to book into the campground in summer.
Main park gates are open from 6am to 9pm during daylight savings hours and 6am to 7pm during non-daylight saving hours.
From the main gate travel 200m straight ahead, turn right into campground access lane. A combination lock code is supplied on booking.
The hardstands are 300m ahead on the left. Reverse into vehicle bay and stay off the grass.

Bookings can only be made six months in advance for campgrounds. Availability refreshes at midnight daily.

No drinking (potable) water supply - boil water for at least three minutes before using.
No power supply.
No toilets as vehicles must be self-contained.
Dogs, other animals and pets are prohibited at all times.
Your campsite must be clean and tidy during your stay, and when you leave.
There are rubbish and recycling bins within the campground.
You may stay in certified self-contained (CSC) vehicles at this site. It must have a current NZS5465 Certified Self-Containment Certificate from Ministry for the Environment.
Motorhomes, campervans, caravans, 5 wheelers and buses must not be longer than 10m.
You may not stay in tents or portable container dwellings.
