Craw Homestead at Anawhata, Waitākere Ranges Regional Park
Craw homestead is a restored farmhouse which was part of a farm originally owned by the Craw family. The house has three bedrooms, open plan living and dining rooms and separate reading room.
The deck offers pleasant rural views to the west coast. A great place to relax and unwind, with walking tracks just a short drive away.

When you visit our parks you need to clean your footwear and equipment to avoid transferring disease from one area to another.

Directions and access
Drive approximately 7.2km along Anawhata Road. Drive with care - the road is metal, narrow and windy, and is not suitable for long vehicles.
Craw Homestead is on the left. Access is through two gates with combination locks - we will give you a combination code for the gate with your booking confirmation.
The driveway is shared with the campground - Speed limit is 10km per hour at all times - drive with care and watch out for children.

Booking information
Bookings can only be made six months in advance for baches. Availability refreshes at midnight daily.

Bedrooms
- Bedroom one: one queen bed
- Bedroom two: two single beds
- Bedroom three: one set of single bunk beds (i.e. sleeps 2 people). Top bunk is not recommended for under 9 year olds.
You need to supply bed linen, blankets, duvets, sleeping bags, pillows, towels, tea towels, food, mosquito repellent and personal items. A torch or battery-powered lamp is recommended for reading at night.
Amenities
All tap water in the house is drinkable. There is a filter system on the water line. This is tank supply so please conserve water.
Solar power for lighting, water pump and wastewater system. There are no power points in the house.
Solar powered fridge but no freezer. Gas hob and oven, kettle for gas cooker, pots and pans, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery provided.
One bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin.
Fuelled gas heater.
Rules
Dogs, other animals and pets are prohibited at all times.
You must keep the bach and surrounding site clean and tidy during your stay, and when you leave.
To protect against COVID-19 please clean all utensils, crockery and surfaces on your arrival and departure.
No bins or rubbish disposal facilities. Take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
You may have up to a total of 12 people at the house during the day. This includes visitors and the booked group.
There are two covered parks for vehicles in the carport.
You may not stay in tents or camp in vehicles around the homestead.Fires prohibited at all times.
