Designated parking spots in the main car parking area of the Arataki Visitor Centre with great walking tracks nearby.
For NZS5465 certified self-contained (CSC) campervans or motorhomes only and maximum of one vehicle per booking.
CSC vehicles can stay in the designated area for one night in the summer (daylight saving) and up to three nights during winter (non-daylight saving).
During this time you can only access the building using our stairs. We will not have ramp or disabled access available. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.
We have closed large sections of the Waitākere Ranges to prevent the spread of kauri dieback.
When you visit our parks, you need to clean your footwear and equipment to avoid transferring disease from one area to another.

The gates to the visitor centre are open 6am to 9pm during summer (daylight savings), and 6am to 7pm during winter (non-daylight savings).

No bins or rubbish disposal facilities. Take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
You may stay in certified self-contained (CSC) vehicles at this site. It must have a current NZS5465 Certified Self-Containment Certificate from Ministry for the Environment.
Motorhomes, campervans, caravans, 5 wheelers and buses must not be longer than 10m.
You may not stay in tents or portable container dwellings.
