Eke Panuku Development Auckland was established in September 2015, the result of merging Auckland Council Property Limited and Waterfront Auckland.

Eke Panuku Development Auckland was disestablished on 1 July 2025 and replaced by internal Auckland Council services: Auckland Urban Development Office and the Property Department.
