The Hibiscus and Bays Local Board adopted the Browns Bay Centre Plan in September 2016. Significant progress has been made, including:
- Identifying, consulting and designing gateway markers
- Implementing a shared surface concept for Inverness Road, allowing for farmers markets and special events.
We are still working on:
- Investigating and implementing policy for undergrounding power supply along Beach Road.
- Developing a management plan for the Village Green, enabling various community-building activities.
