About the Birkenhead War Memorial Park Masterplan

The Birkenhead War Memorial Park Masterplan sets out:

the historical, cultural, environmental and recreational values of the park
the consultation process to create the masterplan
existing buildings, structures, recreation facilities and clubs
key design principles to guide development of the park
a spatial plan showing how the park can be improved over time.

What the Birkenhead War Memorial Park Masterplan will do

Birkenhead War Memorial Park Masterplan will guide long-term improvements to the park, including:

improving sport and recreation facilities
protecting the environment
improving car parking and signage
acknowledging the park’s cultural heritage and past.

Planned improvements

We want to include:

new multi-use sports facilities
a splash pad
walking track improvements
ecological restoration
interpretative signage
car parking.
