Purpose of the policy

The Protected Disclosures Policy communicates our commitment to protecting kaimahi Employees. who disclose serious wrongdoing.

This policy works in accordance with the Protected Disclosures (Protection of Whistleblowers) Act 2022 Act.

Who the policy applies to

This policy applies to all kaimahi at Auckland Council, including:

current, former and temporary employees
volunteers, contractors, secondees and people who work from home
those involved in governance (including elected members).
