What the policy does
The Transport Policy Statement sets out Auckland Council’s views on transport investment and guides how we plan and prioritise transport spending.
The policy contains:
- seven investment principles
- seven strategic investment priorities
- nine investment objectives.
The policy statement directs transport investment decisions across the council group. It also has a legal role in shaping the 30‑Year Transport Plan and the Regional Land Transport Plan.
